Custom Taxonomy Permalink Not Saving

    For testing, I’m using a 3.8 install, theme Twenty Fourteen, with a custom taxonomy on Posts as outlined in this Gist with Custom Tax code.

    I’ve changed the following settings from the default.
    Settings – Permalink Settings – Common Settings – Post name

    I install and activate version 0.7.16 of Custom Permalinks.

    I go to Posts – Taxonomy and enter the following information for a new Term
    Name: ExampleTerm
    Slug: example-term
    Description: (blank)
    Custom Permalink: customperm

    After clicking Add New Item.

    The term is created but the Custom Permalink field is not populated. Attempts to update the field are also unsuccessful.
