    Greetings, All.

I am looking to create a custom taxonomy for blogs on a multisite installation, allowing for menus that point to these blogs to easily be created. Two questions:

    1. What is the best way to go about doing this?
    2. Is ‘blog’ a WordPress object registered through the multisite infrastructure?

    Thanks so much!

    Best Regards,
    S. Wyatt Young

    ‘blog’ isn’t an object…

Multisite makes multiple separate sites (aka blogs) on a network. So each site is separate. The closest I can think of is blog categories, which lets you assign a category for your blog ‘types.’

Thanks so much. I put this project on the back burner for now. I’m hoping that as WordPress multisite becomes more widespread, the development team will consider implementing some sort of taxonomy at the blog level.

Until then, we’ll consider this “resolved.” Thanks again!
