Custom Taxonomy archive page returns 404 Error

I’m having the same problem @jmp909wp outlined in Use custom permalink of custom taxonomy archive” producing 404

Has any progress been made on this issue?

I did find this solution on Get your custom taxonomy URLs in order that worked for me. I thought I’d share it in case it was helpful for others. It would be nice if Custom Post Type Permalinks could find a way to incorporate a solution into the plugin.
