Custom taxonomies/permalinks not taken into account in redirect_canonical

Redirect canonical appears to be working with the categories, but no redirect is done if the custom taxonomy is used in the permalink.

Canonical link appears to be correct on frontend (link rel=’canonical’), on backend (in the edit post page), but redirect_canonical appears to ignore the custom rules and doesn’t perform a redirect.

Can anyone help?
