Custom Taxonomies

    I’ve implemented the plugin on a site with a number of custom taxonomies and the implementation works fine in terms of the admin, but the very, very strange thing is that any term created after 02-08-2021 does not appear in the sitemap. This appears to be an issue but with this plugin and another.

    As taxonomies don’t by default have a modification date attached to their meta data, I’m curious how you’re pulling that as it seems to be the issue in terms of which ones get listed and which don’t as the ones listed all have this “date_modified” metadata that was created in some manner than I’m not aware of.

    I was curious if your plugin relies upon this and how it was getting created and more importantly, why it stopped as it’s leaving out a lot of data?

    Hi, the plugin has not had updates that should affect the sitemaps in the manner you describe.

    As I understand it, a taxonomy term that you create now, will not be included in the taxonomy sitemap? Is this for terms for your custom post types only or also for terms related to standard posts?

    The plugin attempts to get the latest modified date for each term by pulling the publication date of the latest post in that category. This data is then cached for later use and purged when a new post is published in that category.
