  • Hey,
    I am having the following issue.

    1.) Add a new product
    2.) Add some saved custom tabs for the product
    3.) Publish the product

    => The product is published and when you check online, the custom tabs are displayed.

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ISSUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    – Now when open the products list in woocommerce backend, and then update the product, and publish again the custom tabs are gone.

    EVERY time I refresh a product page and update the details I will HAVE to add the custom tabs again, as they get lost with each time you update the product.

    Please advise, as this is very annoying.

    Hi @prathadsan,

    Sorry about that – that seems very frustrating.

    We’ve seen similar issues with older versions of WooCommerce or conflicts with other WooCommerce add-on plugins.

    Are you on the latest version of WooCommerce? Are you using any other WooCommerce add-ons?

    Also, is it only with saved tabs? Have you tried adding a custom tab? Can you try that and go through the same updating process and let me know if that works.

    yes I am using the latest version of wordpress and sure I am using other plugins for woocommerce as well. Well, I dont have any issues with ANY other woocommerce plugins in regards to persistence, but only with this. Its not even only with the latest woocommerce version. Ever since i bought the plugin, I am having this issue and its really annoying.

    I tried adding just a new tab as well, but even thats getting lost as well.

    I would appreciate if you could fix this issue asap, as this is really annoying.

    Hi Pita,

    There must be a theme or plugin conflict that’s occurring. Thousands of other users of the Custom Tabs plugin do not experience this issue.

    Can you please disable your plugins and check if the custom product tab data is saved instead of wiped?

    I know it’s an annoying step but it is the best way to isolate a plugin conflict.

    I am sorry, but I can’t do that step. I am using so many plugins that are essential for my business. I can’t just disable all plugins to test the custom tab plugin.

    Is there any other way, this can be tested ?

    Which other WooCommerce-related plugins are you using? I can install them and try to recreate this issue.

    Hi @prathadsan,

    Unfortunately, many of these plugins are not free and it would be too costly and take too much time for us to reproduce your exact environment.

    Do you have the ability to make a development copy of your site? This a good idea anyway for a website that is essential for a business. With a development version of your site you could troubleshoot plugins and also test new plugins before going live.
