[resolved] custom stylesheet? (2 posts)

Is there a way to use a custom stylesheet instead of overwriting the plugin styles with !important declarations?
I'm asking because my site uses a dark background and the plugins css styles doesn't fit so well.

CSS issues are the most common when using bbPress. You have two options to tweak it.

First you can just adjust your child theme's CSS as needed the style.css.

Secondly, if it's easier you can tweak the CSS of bbPress itself. With that said you should never edit the bbPress css file directly as it will be overwritten next time you upgrade.

Instead copy the bbPress CSS located at:

When you place that file in your child theme directory, bbPress will auto detect it and use that version instead of the version that is in core. So once you move it you can make changes to it as you see fit and they will never be overwritten.

I'm going to mark this as resolved, but feel free to create another ticket if you have any more questions
