[resolved] Custom single-podcast.php template- player won't work in Chrome? (2 posts)

    Hey there.

I had previously asked about calling the player to a custom location here. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/calling-audio-player-to-another-page-template

I have developed my own single-podcast.php file, and it's being used successfully. I have used the code in the post above to display the actual player below the content, instead of at the top of the entry as done in the default template.

This template works great in every browser but Google Chrome, as far as I can tell.
In Chrome, the player loads, looks identical code wise to the player that shows up in Safari or Firefox (aside from it not grabbing the length and current time, and the load bar not showing- does this mean it's not finding the source file?) It throws no errors that I can see in the Dev console- however when I hit the play button, it turns to pause, and no audio plays.

    It gets stranger.

I have used this same code on the home page of the site (another custom page template) and it works fine there, even in Chrome.

Any ideas? Do I need to call the player differently on single-podcast.php?

The site is behind a password protected wall at this point, or I'd provide a link. If I can answer any specific questions I am happy to help.

    Thanks in advance.

The only thing I can think of there would be a conflict with your theme or another plugin. I won't be able to help you further unfortunately as that is outside of my domain for support.
