Support » Plugin: Custom Sidebars - Dynamic Widget Area Manager » Custom Sidebars very slow

Hey, i have many widgets with ACF-Advanced custom fields and other widgets in my sidebars.

I have a Vserver with a lot of power, but the Custom Sidebars load very slow and it drives me crazy if i had to edit something. I also have to wait 1-2 minutes to do something?

    Small video with the issue

    Hey @soulfly999,

    Hope you’re well.

Normally a lot of custom sidebars like 50 or 100 can cause something like slowness but as far as I understand from the video you don’t have so much custom sidebar. So it can be because of one of the widget or plugin conflict. Can you setup staging site and try some tests?

First, you can test with widgets. Delete all widgets (in custom and non-custom) but keep sidebars, is it still opening slow? If not try to add widgets one by one and try again after adding a new widget. So we can understand which widget cause this.

Second, if above test doesn’t help you can try plugin and theme conflict test. You need to deactivate all plugins and try only with Custom Sidebars. If not helps try changing the theme to Twenty Seventeen too. If it helps, try activating all sidebars one by one until replicate the same issue, so we can understand which plugin causing conflict.

    Cheers,
    Oguz
