Custom Sidebars displays sidebar html blown up and unformatted

Hi,
I am using custom sidebars on my contact us page with a sidebar template. The only html formatting is done in the text widget that I have configured with the sidebar. The formatting pictures are enlarged and it not formatted. To test the sidebar before adding custom sidebar I did a get_sidebar in my page.php file which displayed the sidebar with it’s proper formatting. I don’t understand why the formatting got so messed up when I migrated to custom sidebars. Please help.
