• Hi,
I’m using a premium theme called Flatsome. I made a custom sidebar via appearance/widgets called Side Bar 1 and all built-in (default sidebars) have the “Allow this sidebar to be replaced” option checked. I then selected my custom sidebar “Side Bar 1” via Sidebars/Sidebar: dropdown menu (in the page’s Edit mode). But no sidebar appears. I also tried switching to the 2015 and 2014 themes and still no sidebar appears. Yes, I do have the right sidebar template selected and I even tried reinstalling Custom Sidebars, but no luck.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!
    John

  • Hey there John,

    Hope you’re well today!

Usually this is related to themes having their own custom sidebars which then creates a conflict preventing plugin from working properly, unfortunately Flatsome is premium theme so I’m not being able to test this.

Since you tested this on default WP themes and still having the same issue I’m suspecting this is a plugin conflict then so you might want to try deactivating all other plugins as displayed in the following flowchart to know which plugin is conflicting if any.

Please let me know if you find anything 🙂

    Best regards,
    Bojan
