custom shortcode

    Hello,
    May I ask you a question.
    Could I use your plugin to create a “custom shortcode” for social streaming. So the custom shortcode would be for :stream “this account”…
    (the networks usernames/Ids.. – which would come from a “custom field/value” – example a twitter or facebook name).

    So, if the “custom field” have /value” in shortcode – then stream “this account”

    Thanks for taking an interest in our plugin. You can create as many feeds as you want with usernames/ids. The one thing to think about if you are allowing people to generate their own feeds (if thats what you are thinking) is Rate Limiting the access tokens . Meaning they will stop working if there are to many hits in an hour.

    We have thought about dedicating more time to this area in the future. Can’t give a timeline or a date of completion but this may be possible/ more feasible in future versions of FTS.

    Is the “Rate Limiting the access tokens” –
    is for: a Site
    or
    is for: usernames/ids?

    And what/how much is “to many hits /hour”?

    Rate Limiting the access tokens = per site.

    When you setup your apps for any of the social networks you will find an area that shows what your limits are.
