BASICALLY: I’m trying to customize the share buttons with ones I made. They are PNGs, exactly the same size as the original default ones in the Add to Any icons folder.

My ‘facebook_like.png’ file (and twitter_tweet, pinterest_pin – same case for all of them, just using the Facebook one as an example) doesn’t appear; only the default Facebook Like button appears. It is definitely uploaded into the same URL folder and as far as I know, I seem to have followed all instructions. I know the image folder’s URL is typed in correctly because the regular ‘facebook.png’ file DOES appear correctly (the tiny square icon).

This may have something to do with this fact(maybe?): I originally uploaded the ‘facebook_like.png’ file as ‘facebook.png’ because I just got the name wrong – and it did appear, but obviously it was replacing the wrong icon (it replaced the tiny square icon instead). So I caught my error, renamed the file, deleted the initial file from my media library, and uploaded the now-correctly-named file into the same image folder just a few minutes later. Still didn’t work.

Can someone help? Thanks. I’ll be experimenting in the meantime, trying to see if I’ve just done something stupid…

UPDATE: All the little icons work but the bigger ones don’t for some reason.

Here is a link for now to a product page on the website with the share buttons below the product description (site hasn’t been officially published yet).

As you can see I am also having some frustrating problems with my ‘Related Products’ images being pixelated, overly large, and seemingly random, but I can make another forum post for that.

Just as an FYI, I am not the person who is programming the website, so I can only do so much. I shouldn’t go in and modify any of the hard coding but any input would still be appreciated, in case I can go to our web guy with it.

I don’t understand why the smaller PNGs are working but not the others. What am I doing wrong?

Those official 3rd party buttons (Like, Tweet, etc.) are served from those websites directly within an “iframe”, so they’re not very customizable. That’s to be expected, and that’s why AddToAny offers the square customizable icons by default — they can be served from your own website.
