# Custom roles in workflows

 * I wanted to get more information about roles as it relates to workflows. I have
   tried a few different plugins recommended from your website.
 * I found this page

 * Which references two plugins to use to create and or modify the existing roles
   within a wordpress site.

 * I have tried all three of these and when I try to create a new workflow none 
   of my new roles show up as an option to choose from in the assignee field.

 * Is it not possible to extend this to use secondary or additional roles? I don’t
   really like the fact that I have to modify the core roles to create workflows.
   Is there another alternative or step I am missing?

 * Looks like we replied to this query via our ticketing system.
 * Just, so that it’s helpful to others, I’m putting the same reply here.
 * For any custom roles, go to Workflows -> Settings, Workflow tab. Here you can
   check the roles that should participate in the workflow.
 * I’ll go ahead and close this ticket.
