[Resolved] Custom redirect after registration issue

  • Hi,

    many thanks for your plugin.

    Currently when a user registers the screens they see are:-

    1) Form screen
    2) Same form screen with text saying page will soon redirect.
    3) My custom user registration success page.

    After clicking the activate link in their email they see:-

    4) Form screen again with text “The user was successfully activated”

    The issue is that I would like to use a custom page for all pages after they have clicked register, because my initial form page has descriptive text which looks bad when viewed again and again.

    Is there anyway I can also have a custom page for numbers 2 & 4? Especially 4, the page after they activate.

    thanks,

    Jake

    Hello Jake,

    at the moment, the “The user was successfully activated” message can be changed using the following filter: wppb_register_successfull_user_activation

    <p class="success">The user was successfully activated.</p><!-- .success -->

    The only thing that can be done is to redirect the user after 0 seconds to your custom page.

    So if you do a function like so, and hook it on the above filter, it should work

    function addRefresh($oldString){
    $permaLnk2 = 'your_custom_page_URL_here';

    return '<p class="success"><a href="'.$permaLnk2.'">The user was successfully activated.</a>.<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0;url='.$permaLnk2.'" /></p><!-- .success -->;

    }

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,
    Gabriel
