I tried looking for this online, but I’m not easily coming up with a solution.

Does WooCommerce, or anyone else, offer a plugin that can redirect customers to a nicer-looking page after the customer reaches they download limit?

The static “Sorry, you have reached your download limit for this file Go to shop” page is a pretty dang ugly and somewhat rude page to see.

I’m thinking it would be a lot nicer, and perhaps more profitable, if the customer was directed to a nice “upsell” page with my contact info and/or a “perhaps you might like” these similar images?

I just launched my website that offer digital downloads (images) using the WC Amazon S3 Storage plugin, and all is working well. Thanks Woo!

    Hi Frank!

Since this would require some custom coding for editing your PHP files, I am leaving this thread open for a bit to see if anyone can chime in to help you out.

For additional assistance on this topic, we recommend getting in touch with one of the customization experts listed on the WooCommerce Customizations Page.

Also, you can visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack, you could find help from the community of open-source developers for WooCommerce that hangs in there.

    Cheers!

    Thanks Juan!

After some additional searching this afternoon, and seeing the source code referring to a wp-die-error.php page, my request seems to be a feature that’s been requested for many years but nothing yet. I found this fella made a go at it as well, but I prefer not to alter the source files as I don’t have that level of experience.

I’m hopeful the WC creators might eventually come up with an add-on plugin, even if they charge additionally for each year (like with customized invoices).

I came across the customization pages, so that’s an idea too. I think if someone created a plugin, they’d have several annually paying customers! And I’d be first! 🙂

    One quick question/thought.

Can anyone tell me where the $message sentence that states: “Sorry, you have reached your download limit for this file Go to shop” is located; which php file?

I’ve been ftp downloading various php files looking for this sentence, but no luck. I’m finding other response sentences, but not this particular one.

As a temporary fix, I want to simply re-word this sentence to a more friendly and personalized response.
