Custom query rariable and rewriting issue

  • jokface

    @jokface

    I spend last two days with this issue. I really hope someone can help.

    I’m developing a website of real estate so I need to a var named no_mls at the end of the URL to ake it identifiable.

    I have to reach a specific format “mywebsite.com/lang/?no_mls=the_var_value”

    My problem is that wordpress don’t recognize my var.

    I used (mess used probably) the add_query_var() function, then I set the permalink structure to /%category%/?no_mls=%postname%.
    I’m thinking about changing the wordpress p in rewrite.php and link-template.php files but I think that there is a simpler solution that I cant’ find.

    The permalink rewrite works fine but I’m getting the 301 status and “no post found” message when I try to view the post.

    Could someone offer a clue as to why this wouldn’t work?
