Hi,

My partner has made a template from scratch. We’re trying to build a template store and our theme, already has custom post types for product categories and sections. I am really new to the WP codex and I am continuing my partner’s work because he’s already busy with other stuff. Is there any way for me to still use our custom post types but keep the cart and checkout functionality of this plugin? Also, is there also a way for the payment to go straight to whoever is the author of the product post (there will be 2 of us posting our products and we’d like to keep our sales separate)?

You will still need to create the Download products, but you can display purchase buttons on your custom post types using our short code: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/docs/display-purchase-buttons-purchase_link/

I see thanks! Also, there’s 2 of us that are gonna be posting products for our site. Is there any way for our sales be separated according to the author rather than just having one paypal account for the whole site?

The best option for that would be to use the Commissions extension: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/extensions/commissions/
