 * I am testing the plugin…
 * the indexing seems to be limited to “page” and “blog” post_type. How can I index
   custom_post types? Is there a config/parameter that I can tweak?
 * Ideally this should be part of the configuration of the plugin

    You can add custom posts type by code in the functions file, we are
   working in the interface to customize what post types you could index we hope
   to have it next week. I could help you with the code if you need it now, but 
   would be great if you can wait us to launch next version with this functionality
   included.
