I’ve created a custom post type called “recipe” and there is a CPT named “recipes” that is coming from the Theme…

When I try to open an item from /recipe/something/ it changes to /recipes/something/

    – I’ve saved the permalinks but it keeps redirecting to that…
    – I also checked the .htaccess but there is nothing there
    – Checked the redirection plugin but there is nothing there
    – I also created the archive-recipe.php (working) and single-recipe.php (not working because it is redirecting to single-recipes instead)

Any idea why is that happening? Thank you!

I just noticed that… the new recipes have the same slug as the old ones so

If I rename sweet-potato-hash-brown-waffles to sweet-potato-hash-brown-waffles2 it opens the right single file…
But it shouldn’t be happening since I have /recipe/ before not /recipes/… anyway to fix that instead of renaming all of them? Thank you!!!

There is a plugin “Custom Post Type UI” that they created the post type “Recipes” and that plugin is causing the issue. I’ll just disable it since I created the new CPT in my functions.php file. Thanks!
