# Custom post type parent

 * Hi guys!
 * I’m creating a new custom post type based on the book example here: [register_post_type](http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/register_post_type)
 * The only thing i changed was the type, mine’s gonna be page type.
 * When i create a new book page the permalink is “/book/my-first-book/”, but that“/
   book/” page it’s not created on pages, so it’s not appearing when I call wp_list_pages()
   to set my menu.
 * My question is: do I have a way to create a Book page and then make all my custom
   book items child of it?
