I’m looking for some advise on a new website that I’m building.

We have a potential custom post type that has two different data sets we’d like to have as fields in the backend and a pre-designed layout of a series of rows, columns, designed blocks etc. that we want to replicate easily for all 60+ trip posts for the site.

So the design lends itself to a page builder template, while the field sets lend themselves more to a custom post type. We want to make this as easy as possible to replicate the layout, design, and base information from post to post and when adding new ones by the client in the future.

Thoughts? Strategies and tips most welcome.

You can make use of the Advanced Custom Fields plugin for this purpose.

The plugin has free & pro versions. Depending on your requirements, you may have to purchase the Pro version of the plugin.

    Hope this helps.
    Good day!

I’d use a custom post type, and set up the page template to display each area based on the custom meta data for that post. The reason for that is that way you’ll keep the design and layout consistent, where as if you use a page builder or something else things can easily change if someone doesn’t put the right block in the right place.
