Custom Post Type not keeping Template

    I create a new CPT. It’s capability type is ‘page’. I have it support: title, editor, author, page attributes, and excerpt.

    Okay, so I am trying to get this to show in its own template. Back before 3.1 I could make a template-cpt.php file and be set. However now that does not seem to work.

    In the Quick Edit it allows me to change the Template for the CPT, but while editing the CPT, it does not allow me to set the template.

    Any ideas?
