Support » Plugin: Meta Box - WordPress Custom Fields Framework » BUG: Custom Post Type doesn’t appear on WP Admin menu

  • Resolved Pablo Almeida

    (@pabloalmeida)

I’m using MB Custom Post Type 1.6.0 and Meta Box 4.14.8 and when I try create a new CTP on WP Admin, it doesn’t appear on menu… and the Advanced button is not working too on any CTP.

I don’t know what’s happening but started after the last update of MB Custom Post Type (for 1.6.0)

    My WP version is 4.9.6.

Hi, there probably is a conflict between the plugin and others. Can you install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/send-system-info/ and post the system info here?

Hi, can you disable some plugins: ACF and its extensions? And try to deactivate more plugins if the problem still exists.

    Hey, Tran!

I disabled all of plugins except these:

    – MB Custom Post Type: 1.6.0
    – MB Custom Taxonomy: 1.3.1
    – Meta Box: 4.14.8

    The problem still there! 🙁

    One more information:
Is the “Advanced settings” a metabox now? This is loading below “Label Settings” metabox. I never seen it before without click on “Advanced” button.

The “Advanced” button inside “Basic Settins” metabox still not working.

    Remembering:
When I try create a new CTP on WP Admin, it doesn’t appear on menu on WP-Admin. And I can’t change details when I click on “Advanced” button.

The CTP created has been registered on database normally, but doesnt appear on internal menu.

The CTPs created before update still there normally, but the new ones aren’t appearing.

Repeat: I don’t know what’s happening but started after the last update for MB Custom Post Type 1.6.0

I found one of the problems.

As we use many CTP, one of them was created with same slug! -.-”

So WordPress is not showing it on menu. It would be cool to improve a validation in the future.

The only thing still weird is the “Advanced” button.

Oops, having same slug will make WP think they’re one.

Do you see any JavaScript error in the console when clicking the Advanced button?

I found the bug and have just fixed it. Please update the plugin.

    Cheers

    Thanks, Tran! 🙂
