    How do I use the magazine homepage widgets to show custom post types rather than categories or tags?
    Not default posts; custom post types like portfolio or news.
    I intend to swap the category taxonomy in the widget to the custom post type slug and add the widget to the home. How and where to do it?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for using Merlin.

    I’m sorry but the theme does not support that by default.

    You have to create your own widgets in a child theme in order to do this. You can use the Post widgets of Merlin as an basis for that.

    But I think the better way is to use extra plugins for creating a portfolio or other custom post types.
