    I have a new problem! I have got the custom post types appearing automatically in the submenu of parent ‘products’ but for some reason, some of the products are duplicated in the list. They are not duplicated in the admin area of the site. Can you advise on how to clear these duplicate entries? I have tried putting all to draft and re-publishing, and even deleting the posts that have duplicated (which made them disappear from the menu) but then when I reinstated them they came back as multiple entries again!

    I have figured out where this is occurring – it was in any page titles that had either single or double quotation marks in them – i.e.


    So I had titles of:
    fulcionel ‘mesh’ support
    support “A”
    and these were duplicated every time the menu was updated. I have now deleted and recreated the posts without the quotation marks in the titles and they are working as expected.

    Is there any way to address this bug? I have a feeling my client will be particular about the characters in the titles of their products!

    Sorry I did not see this issue until now. In the notes I listed the issue with multiple menus showing up:

    “Ampersands and other HTML entites in titles can sometimes have curious results, such as multiple menu items.”

    I will take a look at the bug. It’s been so long since I’ve looked at this that I really don’t remember offhand.

    Hi again,
    I confirmed that there is some odd behaviour with quotes or double quotes. Ampersands seems to be working fine now. I’ll take a look again and see if i can figure out what is causing it.
