Custom Permalinks

  • Hello!

I’m working on a website that contains pages that sometimes go up to 3 or even possibly 4 levels deep.

I’m wondering if there’s a way set my permalinks to work so that the domain is shown, followed by the page name, instead of showing all parent page names in the URL. Here’s an example:

So I have a page called “Page 1” and it has a child page “Page 1a” and that page has a child as well called “Page 1b” When you navigate to “Page 1b” the URL is: http://example.com/page1/page1a/page1b

I would like to force the permalinks to just show the current page in the URL, so the goal is to have the URL:

    http://example.com/page1/page1a/page1b/

    Look like this:

    http://example.com/page1b/

Is there a way to do that with a custom permalink setup that won’t screw up anything on my site or with SEO friendly URLs?

    thanks!
