    Hello,

First and foremost, thank you for Custom Post Type UI.

I am using CPT UI for multiple CPTs including events. The nature of the type of events I’m creating are repetitive so I overtime, I will have a lot of events with the same name. What I would like to have is for these post types to use a unique permalink structure that includes the date. (I don’t believe the event date could be used, so the post date is fine.) What I want to avoid is “event-mame”, “event-name-1”, “event-name-2”, etc.

Are there options within the plugin to handle this or do I need to do this outside with some form of custom rewrite function?

It’s sounding like that’s going to need to be a custom rewrite function setup. We strive to stick to just getting the post types/taxonomies registered for users, and what is done with them afterwards is up to them. This includes dealing with custom rewrite rules for them, outside of parameters available to the registration functions.

Hope you find a good working solution for this. Sounds like it’ll be a good one.
