  • Greetings all,

Ive added my own pages outside of the wordpress theme and page creation option and when I try to link these pages to the rest of my wordpress site it displays:

    Not Found

The requested URL / was not found on this server.

I can seem to figure out why the pages aren’t recognized by wp or the server and I have tried several work arounds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • You added them where?
Try to give more details, eventually, a link.

i created the static page and placed them in the theme folders with the rest of the default pages and not at the root level…

when I insert a php include (i.e – <?php include(‘myfile.php’); ?>….I am able to grab the contents of the page but when i add the link to the index page’s nav menu and try to go to the page, that is when the not found message pops up as if the page is really not on the server.

I was told that wordpress does not recognize pages made outside of its page structure…is that the case?and if so, is there a work around?

sorry no link I took the site down already.

Never double post! It gets deleted in minutes.
