Custom order

I was wondering if there is any way to set a custom order of testimonials when using the [list].
I already tried using the “Simple Custom Post Order” plugin, which drag-and-drops posts, but in spite of the drag-and-drop function working perfectly, the Testimonials won’t sort in the order I set.
Any ideas?
