custom modify wordpress theme

My development team is using one of the WordPress job board tools or theme to manage a job board and resume browse functions.

I want to modify the resume section beyond the stock code so resume posters can post pictures as well as text (not just Administrators) Users can currently post one picture but can’t post a multitude of pictures.

I’m looking for a good work around that and a more long term solution so resume posters can post categories of images later on. So in the end it’s not just a resume section but a picture websume section. Over the next months I would like to do further enhancements beyond the stock theme.
