 * What is the best way to add a custom message above the username and password
   form?
 * Basically, it is a security message for authorized users only.
 * I could either use a image or enter a text.

 * In your theme or functionality plugin.

 * Austin,
 * I find very strange you being the Author of this plugin to suggest to add some
   code lines in a theme.
 * I was expecting to use the features of this plugin such as image background,
logo, custom css or custom html.
 * Even if I want to use your suggestion, I can’t because you just write a few words
without describing how to do it.

 * You asked a simple question, I gave a simple answer, no?
 * You’ll have to create your own plugin to manage the login messages, or add this
to your current theme. Maybe you should try a plugin that manages message for
you? Have you searched? Here is as paid one from [WPMU dev](https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/log-in-message/).

 * Simple question means it is easy to answer. It doesn’t mean the answer needs
   to be short and incomplete.
 * It is also not very nice to change the status of this post to “resolved” (twice)
just because you want to and the person that is asking a question still have
   an issue.
 * Like a said before, it is strange that you being the author of this plugin suggests
a solution outside of your own plugin. I would want to keep people using my plugin
and find the solution within the plugin, not outside.
 * @ Kamil, I found a way to add a message and it’s working great!
    I created an
image with a message, sized accordantly, and added in “HTML Background Image”.
The “HTML Background Position” is center top.

 * Sorry for changing the status. But you don’t have an issue, you’d like a feature
that isn’t available. This is something I can build for you if you’d like to
talk further about use [my contact](http://austin.passy.co/) form.
 * [@kamil](https://wordpress.org/support/users/kamil/), the action to add additional
HTML is only at the bottom of the page. You can however add some jQuery to move
that HTML wherever you like! something like [.insertAfter](http://api.jquery.com/insertafter/)
   should work.

 * The feature is available within your plugin like I already described on my last
   post.
