    Hi, this looks wonderful, thanks.

Some questions/suggestions for the map component:
    1) Does it accept GPX/KML files (to show a track)? Will be great for travel stories.

    2) does it accept custom icons/markers? For example thumbnails of the photos in the article, markers for camps, avatars of characters etc.

    3) Can you add HTML/links to the markers pop/up/tooltip?

    Thanks in advance!
    Cheers.

  • Hi Bike!

You can learn more about Aesop’s map functionality at http://aesopstoryengine.com/documentation/#scrollNav-11

Aesop’s maps utilizes Open Maps. We highly recommend you create your own free account with Mapbox. More info is available at the link above and at Mapbox’s FAQ at https://www.mapbox.com/help/.

The icon is loaded with CSS which can be overwritten by writing custom CSS and uploading your images to your web server.

HTML cannot be added to the tooltip at this time but that is a great idea! I am making note of your suggestion for the developers.

Hi! I wanted to follow-up on this to let you know that HTML in map markers / tooltips will be included in the next Aesop update which will go out in the next day or two. Enjoy!
