    Hi, makapa. Thanks fro the kind words. WordPress themselves have now created a custom logo plugin, which they have deployed on wordpress.com and have also released the code to be used on wordpress.org sites. I would very much like to support that plugin, but need to research how to do that.

    In the meantime, if you plan on doing the custom logo via CSS I would use the Jetpack Plugin “Custom CSS” feature. You key in your CSS there, it gets saved in the database, and Jetpack applies it to your site. I think as an inline styles, but it definitely works and causes no issues with upgrading the theme.
