Hi, which of the two features did you enable for the Brute Force security settings? Do you have a cache plugin? Do you have any other security plugin running? Or do you have any plugin that might control the login redirects?
I’ve enabled “Brute Force” -> “Rename login page”.
I have neither a cache plugin nor any other security plugin or anything like that 😉
Could you share the exact URL “without revealing any secret word” you see in the confirmation e-mail?
Thank you
Here are the exact links I get in e-mails:
Approve comment:my-site.com/wp-admin/comment.php?action=approve&c=7#wpbody-content
Trash: mysite.com/wp-admin/comment.php?action=trash&c=7#wpbody-content
and so on…
to the problem is that there’s /wp-admin/ instead of my slug and when I click on the link there’s an error “not available.
Thank for the extra information. The plugin developers will investigate further your issue.
Regards
Hi @orvokki,
This is a tricky situation because due to security reasons we don’t really want to reveal your secret login slug via email.
I think for now you will need to endure the slight inconvenience of not clicking those comments links via the email but instead, I recommend that you log into your site manually by typing your secret login link in a browser and then you can go to the comments section and process the comments.
In the meantime I will need to think about a good solution for this situation.
