Support » Plugin: Limit Login Attempts Reloaded » Custom login error message is lost with BuddyPress

    Hey there,

BuddyPress uses a user activation system that, upon registration, sends the new user an email to activate their account. This all appears to work fine.

However, if the user registers but then *does not* activate their account and attempts to log in, with limit login attempts reloaded activated, the login page provides this error:

“ERROR: Incorrect email address or password.”

However this isn’t accurate. When Limit Login Attempts Reloaded is deactivated, the error message shows correctly as:

“ERROR: Your account has not been activated. Check your email for the activation link.”

I’m hoping you’ll find a way in a future release, to show whatever error message has been specified rather than the generic “ERROR: Incorrect email address or password.”

    Cheers,

    Jordan
