# Custom Import

 * I have a custom written blog with the posts stored in a SQL database. I want 
   to move to WordPress and want to import my existing posts. Is there a generic
   import method available for WordPress? I can format the data in any format (XML,
   etc), but all I see in the import screen is options for existing blog systems.

 * Hi, did you figure this out? I’m looking for the same, but there doesn’t seem
   to be any instructions on what database tables to put stuff in so that category,
   author, and tag relationships are maintained. Thanks for any pointers.
