    Hello Iulia!
    I hope you are well.
I ‘ve noticed a problem at least in my WP back end that I need to report. When I try to create a new post, I insert an image. When I try to edit the image (pencil icon) I see a list with all the theme’s image sizes. Before, the only option that I had was to insert just the 4 default sizes. Am I doing smth wrong? Must I exclude those sizes at the global ignore settings of the plugin?
    Best regards,
    F.

    Hello,

Can you please check the settings page and see if something changed there?

    Regards,
    Iulia

    Hello,
Everything is as it was by default. I have the message “Image Regenerate & Select Crop Settings are not configured yet” in the dashboard. In general settings and images for posts, I have the default settings default. I deactivated all the plugins that had to do with image optimization. Regenerate thumbnails, webcraftic image optimizer e.tc
You may check the screenshot here.
For now, I did a rollback of the plugin. I am using 4.7.1

This looks like the plugin was deactivated. The settings reset happens when you deactivate the plugin, it’s part of the cleanup. Perhaps something happened and the plugin was deactivated in the background.

You can upgrade the plugin to the latest version and then redo the settings as you need, then let me know if the lightbox details are showing as expected.

Sorry Iulia, my fault. I wasn’t clear.
The lightbox is working smoothly. But the thing is that when update the plugin to the latest version, when I am trying to edit or insert an image, I get all those custom sizes in the image’s details. It has something to do with the wordpress cort backend.
I have updated to the latest version again, the same problems.
    Again a rollback to 4.7.1
Now I add an image to my post and I don’t have extra sizes. Only the default ones, as it should be.
It would be nice if you could replicate somehow, the issue
    Best regards,

Sure, I will try to replicate it somehow and let you know if I can find the issue.

The problem occurs when creating a new post and insert an image. When I am trying as an example, to insert the medium size (300X300) I see all these custom sizes, that are coming from my theme.
The plugin settings are the default ones.

When I downgrade the plugin the theme sizes are gone and everything works fine.
Thank you for all. Please, you don’t have to rush. If you find something you can push an update whenever you have the time…

    Hello,

I think I understand what you are saying.

The images sizes are available in the media screens because this was another request, and I found it to be very useful, that’s why it was implemented. That’s why I was confused about the “bug”, as it is, in fact, a feature. Please see https://wordpress.org/support/topic/why-is-the-new-image-size-not-available-when-i-add-an-image/.

The unused image sizes can be marked as ignored globally if you do not want to have these listed when you select the image size from the media screens.

Let me know if this is helpful.

Also, I see a lot in the screenshot you provided. Is there any particular reason for which you are generating so many images sizes in your site? I mean, if you see these in the dropdown, it means that the site is generating all of these, you just did not see these before.

    Regards,
    Iulia

    Ok,
    Thank you Iulia!
Did you see all the sizes that my theme is generating. That’s why I was very happy when you created the lightbox feature!
    Best regards,
    F.

Would it help if I would add a setting to hide from the dropdown the sizes marked as hidden?

    Yes, that would be perfect.
