Custom IMAGE / Photo Archive

    I’m working on a site for a client and he wishes to do a *daily* webcam, he wants the cam itself to display on the sidebar with just the image itself. When clicking on the image he wants it to then bring him to the actual article so people can comment.

    I haven’t used the ‘Custom Post Type’ in a very long time, I assumed by default just creating a “Webcam” category that I can utilize PHPExec (plugin) to display the single category and most recent (one) article on the sidebar, however it won’t call the image in which he wishes to attach on a daily basis.

    Any ideas?

    Anyone have any ideas?

    I’ve looked through every plugin I can find, nothing is doing what I need it to – and custom post types just aren’t displaying things the way I need.

    Basically I need a daily webcam where each cam image can be commented on as the ‘view larger’ image will display directly to a blog entry with said photo.

    I already tried setting up the image link in the_excerpt and trying to pull it that way for the single category but it just won’t work. Help?!
