Custom Header Template

  • Hi –

    My website is http://www.straightforwardlaw.com.

I have created a template called Contact Us Page Template
(contact us page.php). I want this Template to have a different header so I create a new file and named it customheader.php and copy and pasted the information from my header.php file into the new customheader.php file.

Then, I went into my Contact Us Page Template and replaced: get_header(); ?> with get_custom_header(); ?>

Unfortunately, this is not working? The header is not displaying.

I have read about template pages and can only figure out what to do if using multiple custom headers. Can someone help point me in the right direction if I only want to use one custom header?

    Thanks 🙂

  • Hi Again,

I just figured out that I was using the wrong code:

This is the format/code to use:

    get_header( ‘customheader’ ); ?>

I used this along with: header-customheader.php
