Custom Header not possible?

    Hello,

    I’m new with Word Press and have a Problem.
    I can’t change my Header or when i try it nothing happens…
    I go to Change Header and go to “My Gallery” and then i pick up the picture i would like to have as Header…
    Then 2 things can happen:

    1. i can change the size from the header i like
    2. i can’t change it

    Both ways end in the same way…
    On the left side i have my Sidebar with Options to change my Site (i mean the standart word press sidebar)
    On the ride side i have normaly my menu with settings to change but after change header its only WHITE the hole window, with the sidebar on the left but NOT MORE.
    I tryed different themes and different browsers but nothing works.
    My Memory Limit is 64MB and i tryed to deactivate all PlugIns but nothing helped ;(
