# Custom functionality?

 * Is it possible to modify the functionality to suit our needs and to add or modify
   features?
 * For example, we want two levels of ‘claimed’ listings, and we want only the person
   who claimed the listing to be able to respond to reviews, and we also need wiki-
   like features, such as anyone can edit a listing and it shows the list of edits
   and who did them, etc. We need to add lots of features that the software doesn’t
   have.

 * Right now, those things can be accomplished through the customization of the 
   plugin. Customizing the plugin comes with its own risks and complications–like
   the fact that any changes you make can break other aspects of the plugin and 
   any issues you have need to be tested against an unmodified plugin for support.
   If you can reproduce any issues you run into on the unmodified plugin, we can
   report the problem to our developer. But any updates or changes have to be maintained
   by you in your custom version. It can be a pretty big hassle, but it’s entirely
   your choice!
