Custom Function

hiii i am very new in wordpress even you can say just start from today but know little about php and html css about this all…
i want to customize my blog theme first of all i want to add a function which create automatic links of other categories
for example
i am going to make an entertainment site
where i’ll put few categories like
Reviews First-Look Mp3 Videos Wallpapers

now i want that if i add something in Review category automatic create links for other categories
for example i add Avatar-Firstlook
that also create link
Avatar-reveiew
Avatar-mp3
Avatar-VIdeos
Avatar-Wallpaper

and then later easily i can add content in that
if i don’t add content in that that show some message like content wil upload soon of this type
i know how to make this in simple php script but don’t have any idea how to use it in wordpress
please anybody can tell any plugin related this or any function ?which can help full
