    Hi,

I have used the custom style option and put he plugin’s default templates:

    /resources/usp.css
    /views/submission-form.php

..and uploaded them to the plugin’s /custom/ directory:

    /custom/usp.css
    /custom/submission-form.php

with the latest update there are no more files in the custom folder and the form has reverted to the standard form. It says in the installation description that this would not happen “Customize either of the new files as desired, they will not be overwritten when the plugin is updated”

Then why are my files gone?

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for reporting this, I am very sorry it happened. It must be a bug, apparently WordPress (or something) must have compared the current directory with the new directory, noticed that the new one was empty (as it always is), and then removed the files. I will need to find a way to tell WP to not delete the files in that directory when the plugin is updated. I appreciate you reporting the issue, will try to get fixed up.

The changes to the form where not very intensive so its easily fixed.

    Glad I could help.

That is good news. I also recommend keeping a complete backup of all your files and database, just in general it’s considered best practice. Thanks for the follow-up post.

Just to follow-up with this: in the forthcoming version of the plugin (v20161119), the custom template directory has been relocated to the current theme directory, which should keep it safe from plugin updates. The readme/docs will provide further details. Thank you for the feedback on this.
