Custom fields saving but not updating

    Hi, I’m having an issue recently where content in custom fields is saving but fine when I first publish the post, but when I try to edit it, it doesn’t change. My guess is there is some sort of conflict going on but I can’t find the problem. Any ideas ?

    I had the same, but here it was only the ‘view’: in the DB I had the updated post meta and the preview showed the the correct data. only in the admin the meta stayed unchanged.

    for me it was a caching issue (shouldn’t be happening): for now I’ve disabled the object cache (wpengine as host) & it’s back to normal. don’t know if this can help you..

    The first step is to disable all non-toolset plugins, switch to a default theme and see if it still happens.

    If you don’t see the problem any more, try enabling one by one until you see the problem again, then let us know which plugin causes the problem.
