Hi @natemt2
Interesting. Let me do some testing of some things with a similar set up and see if I can recreate the issue. If so, I’ll be diving in to see what needs changed to fix the issue. If I manage to fix it, or at least appear to on my end, I’ll provide a version for you to try and see if it fixes for you as well.
If we get to that point, I’ll make sure to get the changes into the plugin for everyone.
As a followup, I wanted to confirm two things:
1. Have you checked and had the form include the opt-in functionality present when building the form? It’s going to be required, from the looks of it.
2. Do you happen to have WP_CRON disabled at all, at least knowingly? The request to the Constant Contact API is added to a cron schedule and executed about a minute after the submission, so there will be at least that much delay. However, if something is interfering with the execution of the cron schedule, then it won’t work.
Any changes with this one @natemt2 ?
Hi Michael,
As long as I don’t put anything into the custom text area, the contacts come through right away. If I put anything into the custom text area, nothing comes in.
Thanks. We’re planning to get this addressed in 1.2.2. It’s a detail we managed to overlook, in regards to API calls, so we’re going to get that addressed soon.
Thank you for your patience and sticking with us.
@natemt2 1.2.2 is out the door and includes custom textarea related fixes. Please upgrade and try again when you have a moment, and let us know if your issues are resolved at that point.
Thanks.
I just tried with both custom Text Fields and Custom Text Areas. The Field went to a Custom Field and the Area created a note. Looks like it’s working perfectly.
Thanks!
Awesome to hear. Thanks Nate.
