After “Resetting Section Settings” – which deletes all custom fields – and re-entering the custom field, this is what I get:
-> Custom field now shows on My Account Orders page. Fine!
-> Also shows on WooCommerce Orders Detail, but is read-only. Would be nice to edit here!
-> Does not show in WooCommerce Orders list preview modal. Would be nice to see here!
Bug, missing feature, only premium? Any ideas welcome. Regards, Hagbard
Hello Celine!
I’m glad that you’ve managed to resolve your issues by resetting the settings. It is usually the best way to fix minor problems.
Thank you for your feedback.
Unfortunately, there is no way to edit the contents of the fields using WordPress admin panel. The plugin was designed in that way, so the customers enters the data in the field and the shop’s admin simply checks his choices without editing them. However, we are thinking about implementing such feature.
Thank you for your idea about showing the fields in preview window. Sounds great! Our team will discuss the idea. I will let you know if we decide to add this feature to new version of the plugin.
Okay! Thanks for your reply. Sounds good! Cheers, Hagbard.
Hi there,
I am using this plugin as well and it really helped me in doing what I wanted to do: add a VAT field to the billing/shipping form on my website.
The VAT number also shows up on the order page. But it doesn’t show in the pdf I generate with either the plugin ‘PDF Invoice and Packing Slip WooCommerce’ or ‘WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips’. You understand I want the VAT number to appear on the invoice pdf I send to customers.
How can I fix this?
Thanks in advance!
David
Hello @davidvb,
I’ve tested both plugins:
- PDF Invoice and Packing Slip WooCommerce
- WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips
Unfortunately, none of them has the feature which would allow to put you custom checkout field in the document. It’s a pity but there is no way to add a VAT Number field to the PDF.
Please contact the plugins’ developers and ask them if they would add such feature to their plugins. Please acknowledge that you can always check the field’s meta name in the configuration: https://wpde.sk/po/op9bt40pucer.png
