Custom fields message

  • Hi to all,

I dont know if someone went through this yet (searched but didnt find anything)

I’m trying to build a custom form with different fieds(linked to database) for all my messages (not the comment). Is this possible ?
    Is the a hack ?

    Thank you for your help,

    Jeansege

  • Hmmm… Maybe i wasnt enough specific.

    Any idea ?

Thanks a lot for the help.

What do you mean, all of your messages, not the comment?

Are you talking about the form for submitting posts?
    How many fields?
    For what purpose?

In a way, Custom Fields GUI plugin might help you. But I think what you might mean is a little different

Is that what you meant, to put your own comment (like “Choose one of the following:”) without it being included in the keyname? On second thought I think you meant something to do with Posts vs. Comments…

By the way geoffe can I contact you off the forum about taking a peek at my site & use of custom fields (which i’m not ready to post on the forums yet)? goodgold at g mail

Thanks a lot… I’ll check the Custom Fields GUI if it suits.

Actually, I’d like to have a custom form for posting posts.
It’s for product description sheets divided of 10-12 fields.

    Thanks again,

    Jeansege

If you understood the programming, you could customize your post form as much as you like. For instance, I’ve customized a form and the database to include a subtitle field for each post, which appears just below the title field.
