That depends on what you mean by specific items, but I think what you’re looking to accomplish can definitely be done. Basically anything that can be added as text, an image or a file can be added to an order as a custom field.

You might actually want to check out the customers feature though. After upgrading, you can use the “customer-form” shortcode, which lets visitors put in their customer number. When they put it in, they’ll see all of the orders that have been assigned to them.
