Custom field textarea removes links

    My event descriptions were bloated and so I’ve started using custom fields to separate the event info.

    One custom field is Itinerary and is of type “textarea” and field purpose “Events”.

    In this Itinerary field I’m listing what will happen during the event and location. I inserted a couple of map links, but when I save and refresh the page the links disappear.

    I checked the Itinerary custom field box and EME has actually removed the link anchor tags. Why is this, and how can I insert links into this field?

    Was that a regular a-href tag? Can you share an example of the html-content you were trying to put in there?

    Follow-up: indeed for events/locations/memberships the custom fields were sanitized too much. Will be fixed in the next version.

    And yes, it was a regular a-href tag.

    Nothing fancy, just a Google Maps link like this:
